Lucian Boat Shape Extendable Dining Table — Solid FSC® Ash with a Sculptural Base

- Remarkable and sculptural in form, the Lucian extendable dining table is designed to draw the eye and invite exploration. Crafted from large solid wood planks, each piece is inspired by the graceful curves of traditional shipbuilding, creating a striking silhouette with a strong architectural presence. The flowing, boat-shaped design adds both visual depth and a sense of movement, while its extendable function offers added versatility when entertaining or accommodating guests. Combining distinctive design with practical flexibility, the Lucian makes a confident statement within any space.

Crafted from solid FSC®-certified European ash, this table will naturally develop character and patina over time. Finished with natural wood oil, the surface can be maintained and refreshed with regular re-oiling, while minor marks and scratches can be repaired over time.

How to Care for Your Lucian Dining Table

Ash tables need to be oiled about 3 times a year, depending on the warmth and humidity in the home. The stain of your table will be in your complimentary bottle of oil, which will allow you to replenish the colour each time you oil it.

With proper care, it will remain a cherished part of your home for years to come. Visit our care guide for the full guidance on maintaining your table.

The Lucian Extendable Boat Shape Dining Table - FAQs

What makes the Lucian Boat Shape different?

Its shape. Rather than a standard rectangle, the Lucian has a flowing, boat-shaped tabletop — wider in the middle, tapering towards the ends — inspired by the curves of traditional shipbuilding. Paired with its sculptural leg base, it’s as much a design piece as a dining table, with real presence in a room.

How does it extend?

It has an end-leaf extension, with the option to add one or two leaves — so you can open it out for extra length when you’re entertaining, and keep it to its base size day to day.

How much does each end leaf add, and how many can I add?

Each end leaf adds 40cm, and you can add one or two — so you can extend the table by 40cm with one leaf, or 80cm with both, adapting it easily to any occasion. You can choose the leaves in the same wood type as the table.

What sizes does it come in?

Five sizes, from 200cm up to 280cm long (110–120cm wide, depending on size), each extending with one or two leaves. See the dimensions above for the full list.

What’s it made from?

Solid FSC®-certified European ash, finished with natural wood oil. It’s solid wood throughout, so it develops character and patina over time, and the surface can be re-oiled to refresh it.

Can scratches and marks be repaired?

Because it’s solid ash rather than veneer, minor marks and scratches can be sanded and re-oiled over time, so the table can be brought back to its best for years. Read more on how to care for your table.

What finishes are available?

Twelve wood finishes, with a choice of edge profiles, so each table is tailored to your interior. Get in touch about the finishes and any customisation.

Does Lucian come in other shapes?

Yes — as well as the boat shape, the Lucian collection comes in round dining tables, in both fixed and extendable options, plus coffee tables. See all Lucian options, or contact us for more details.

How long will I be waiting?

Around 12–14 weeks from order to delivery. Because it’s made to order, it’s built fresh to your size and finish — we’ll keep you posted along the way.

Can I see it before I order?

Yes — yo're welcome see the ash and the finishes in person in our Douglas, Cork showroom. If you don't live nearby feel free to book a free video consultation and we'll arrange a dedicated time.

Do I have to pay it all upfront?

Not at all. Pay in full if you’d rather, or spread it — a 50% deposit gets your order started, and we invoice the balance only once your table is ready to deliver.
